Tang San being snuck up on is always so bizarre to watch. The guy is perception personified. Naturally they could've had Tang San lose in a much more dignified manner, rather than acting as though he's inexperienced enough to let his guard down in the middle of a fight because because a friend died, also weirdly done. Qian Renxue continuing to be a pathetic existence no shock there.

Has nothing to do with inexperience, you can't train yourself to not show any reaction to a friend's death even for an instant, and an instant with the element of surprise is all it takes at a god level battle.

He even distracted himself with saving the civilians in his battle with the angel and you think he would have absolutely no reaction when a close friend dies?

I know this is a fantasy world, but you're living in a fantasy within a fantasy.

I know I'm going to get shot down for showing contempt for today's (and last week's) episode. I'm not even coming from the perspective of a novel fan (I actually prefer the donghua version than the novel until after XW died), I'm here to sincerely ask those who call themselves a fan of SL, how is this the Soul Land that you know of? How is this even close to the TS that we come to love? Where are the soul ring skills? Where is TS's Sea God 13 Halberd techniques? If you want to be picky, then yes if you consider the glimpses of the Shrek displaying their skills desperately trying to kill zombies as them showing of their prowess. Or if you consider TS passively defending QRX's attack and them flashing around in beams of light as the Soul Land or the Tang San you know of, then I rest my case.

This episode may be shiny on the surface with the so-called (face-warping) CGI, but all that glitters is not gold. For me, Soul Land has officially lost its soul!

God damn... really ruined the novel's good ending by changing so many of the events... First they dragged out the useless boring parts, then they rush some of the more important parts, and even change some stuff, it's so messy..... 😕

This is the part of the story I have the most problem with.
1▶ You cannot call that a sneak attack since every one was expecting her to pop-out any moment. What idiot doesn't watch out for that?
2▶ Why where they feeding her by killing themselves? They could have made a tactical withdrawal that would probably cause her to fail the trial. It is unreasonable that they are consciously helping Bibi Dong attain godhood with their lives.
3▶ Why is TS struggling with Qian Renxue? To be honest I don't even consider her to be a true level 100.
4▶ They made sure to tell us that TS front and back soul bones were already god level before super-evolving in his final trial. So why the hell did they give like tofu to a single strike. The wings, in particular, appear to be just there to look pretty. They are so useless when compared to the spears.

It has some logic.

- Each god has a facet of power. In this case, Angel God has the facet of righteousness, Sea God has the facet of protecting others and Rakshasa the facet of negative emotions. On the battlefield just for that brief period after Dugu Bo apparent demise, The mix of the battlefield negativity with a wavering moment on Tang San due to not being able to protect one of his masters, let Bibi Dong to overpower Tang San giving him a fatal wound. And even with that fatal would, Tang San could execute a powerful enough attack to threathen and wound both Angel and Rakshasa Gods.

- Tang Hao said it on the episode. If they flee they die, If they fight they may also die but can try to stop Bibi Dong Trial. Remember that Wuhun also has several Soul Masters able to wipe entire units of enemies if unaware.

- Both are 100 Spirit Masters with Rank 120 God Souls. Most on the field are fighting for what they feel righteous, while not everyone does for protect others. This gives the Angel God a higher Boost compared to Tang-San. Also they are fightning on the Sky, Angel's God Domain. On the Original Works, when they were fighting prior to this battle, TS could easily overpower Angel due to the closeness of the Sea.

- Up to the 9th trial, The 8 spider lances were a Power Spirit Bone absorbing (while acting as a Catalyst) the essence of two god realms (a glimse of Spider God & a good amount of Asura God). On the 9th trial, these pieces were purified of any "negative" emotion, ranked up (on some cases) and morphed into the Sea God Raiments due to the influence of the Sea God Power. The very same could be said for the chest piece. While both are RN a divine tier Spirit Bone, its power is bound to the Strenght of the wielder, which ties with the 1st point.

No. No logic. To be perfectly honest, I think the writer has a thing for over-boosting TS in every way possible but does not have the balls to let him dominate in a real life and death situation. He makes sure TS always needs someone to rescue him.

I mean TS could damage her so much when he wasn't sea god. Now that he is, it should be one sided battle. Sneak attack is kinda TS thing, this part of change is unacceptable.

Script is so bad, TS got all max upgrades, rest of gang as well, and all they accomplished was destroying few zombies. Poison died for nothing, invalid and Gu as well.
If they just slept over that day, let Bibi do her thing, it would be much better outcome.
TS is LVP he managed to die within a day of becoming god and did absolutly nothing except destroying some structures and getting friends die for him, could have done the same on lvl 50 at least he would be much easier to ressurect him.
Whatever he does in the future wont make sense, not like he can get even stronger.

its pretty obvious he's going to come back from the dead with the asura god's powers. hell, they even spoiled what its going to look like at 31:31 & 32:17 of the episode before this one

I have tolerated quite a bit of them messing with the story and the reality is that the novel is the true story not the Manhua. That was just a cheap money grab. The Donghua did follow the novel somewhat more then the Manhua and I have defended some of their changes in the past but that all changed today with this episode. I seriously hope and pray whoever wrote this episode today will NOT be working on Soul Land 2 coming out soon. The changes made to the original novel have gone too far for the last remaining episodes . This episode really was bad and on a stinko-meter its definitely runny dog poo level. I was sadly very disappointed . I hope they recover at least in the next episode. I do have one wish though and I hope that wish comes true and they do not let the writers from this show carry over to Soul Land 2 . I want that show to finish the whole book not get canceled early because of poor writing.

About the shrek seven somehow being god their were all simply acknowledge by the gods who wanted to pass their god sit and the fit the bills. Just like Bidi Dong, Qian Renxue and and Tang San where choosen . As for Rakshasa god being stronger than angel it was always like that on paper angel is actually the weaker out both Poseidon and Rakshasa now of course both Bidi Dong and Tang San are more talented than Qian Renxue which makes the better in general . And as for Tang San being stronger when he wasn't god he was nerfed their . In the novel tang san can fight both Bidi Dong and Qian Renxiu (he even beat Angel God she came back for round 2 which is the 2 vs 1 situation) at the same time they only got him cause Tang San got distracted aka to make the Asura god look monstrous and every god below him are trash against a true god king when Tang San get his sit .The dongua is kind making Bidi Dong group look better their cause it's gg when Asura God Tang San descend . Normally it took both of then to rival Tang San as sea god the downplay and nerfed here vs both Bidi and Renxue the change how basically the entire fights goes

I actually don't understand why so many people praise TS like they do, he's not as dope as an mc as people claim his is, to me. It's actually hilarious that he was almost rivaling angel deity when a mortal but struggling more when he becomes an actual deity lmao!! How?! I thought he'd be even more powerful and just completely annihilate them with not much difficulty, or at least be dominating most of the fight. He disappoints me and unfortunately dropped significantly in the list of mc's. Idk how you become a deity and become WEAKER than you were when a mortal smh!! You'd think his deity status would finally match his battle IQ and combined be near unstoppable, since now he has the "power" to physically do it, to back up his ideas into actions, executing his plans, as before his physical weakness wasn't on par with his battle iq.
